IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Diabetes Aid Now is a new US-based mutual aid group that connects diabetics in need of medication, supplies, and funding with those who have extra to share.

DAN does not take possession of funding, medication, or supplies. We maintain a database of people who do, and our volunteers act as liaisons to facilitate connections. Learn more about DAN here.

Sharing process:

1. Figure out what resources you have to share.

a. If you want to share money, decide how

much you want to share.

b. If you want to share supplies or

medication, get them out so you can fill

out the details on the form completely.

2. Everyone must be able to ship supplies. If you need money to ship the supplies, DAN can help. If you need tips for shipping, DAN can help.

3. Fill out and submit the above form.

4. DAN will contact you for one of two reasons:

a. Someone is in need of the funds or

supplies you have to share.

b. We are checking in to see if you still

have the funds and quantity of supplies

you told us you have to share. (We check-

in 45 days after our last contact with

you in order to keep our lists up to

date. This allows us to share resources

fast and effectively.)

5. When someone needs your resources, a DAN volunteer will tell you where to ship the supplies or send the money.

6. After you’ve sent or shipped the resources, provide DAN with proof you did (ex: screenshot of direct payment app confirmation with usernames, package tracking information, etc.)
