About DAN
Your privacy is important to us. It is DAN's policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our services. It is far too common for us not to have control over our own data when it comes to diabetes care and we aim to not recreate that disempowerment with the work DAN does.
We use many services that may have policies where information is retained on their servers. We will do our best to protect your data and privacy. The services we use are subject to various laws and regulations beyond our control. We use open source software whenever possible and, as we grow, hope to host more of our services ourselves, to provide better privacy. For more information on the services we use, please see the section “List of Services We Use”.
Data Retention Policies
DAN has an overall data retention policy, and then separate ones for whether you are requesting or giving supplies and resources.
It is DAN's goal not to collect or store any personal data that we do not need. DAN is operated by fallible humans. While we work hard to avoid it, mistakes and errors will happen. Our goal is to provide the best privacy we can and to work to resolve any mistakes and errors that occur.
